About Us
The Regional School Council takes its roots from the former Lincoln and Welland Regional CPTA. With the initiation of School Councils in legislation, the Regional evolved into a Board wide Council, which was formally recognized in Board Policy in 2000. Niagara Catholic is one of the few Boards in the province of Ontario to have provided financial and resource support to such a volunteer organization made up of representatives of the Niagara Catholic community.
Our Role as Support to Niagara Catholic School Councils
- Establish and maintain effective communication between the home, the school, the Church and the community in promoting the Catholic Education of the children
- Promote networking with our School Councils, thus encouraging the sharing of ideas for the benefit of the children.
- Provide training to School Councils through annual Chairs meeting and School Council Handbook.
- Organize a Faith Formation in-service and an annual School Council Convention
in Partnership with the Niagara Catholic District School Board
